The Family Health Services Training Center was established in 1986 in San Diego, California with a mission of providing excellence in continuing education to professionals in the fields of health care and public health. The center is a private institution that offers postsecondary training to individuals preparing for careers in allied health professions and continuing education to practicing health care professionals.
This institution is a private institution approved to operate by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. Approval to operate meant the institution is compliant with the minimum standards contained in the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 (as amended) and Division 7.5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations.

All courses offered are licensed, approved or recognized by national, state and local agencies including the National Sanitation Foundation, the California Department of Public Health Services, the California Board of Registered Nursing and the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.
The center is registered with the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (www.bppe.ca.gov) and is full compliance with the California Education Code.
